Glycine (marketed as L-Glycine) is a naturally occurring amino acid. It is the most used Amino acid in the human body. The liver makes a baseline (minimal amount) but, for robust health it is also need in the diet. It has a wide role in human physiology including regulating inflammation, recovery from injury or exercise, sleep & much more (please see the 'What's Special' tab).
What's Special
What's special? In short words - it is a basic health support for all the human body. We have included 2 info-graphics and a link to their source article below. A major action of glycine is to regulate the state & response of macrophages - this reduces excessive or unwarranted inflammatory cascades (see 2nd link below). Please view the info-graphics - They're an impressive start for understanding & checking what glycine does.

Health Use, Info & COA.
Glycine is a food - a naturally produced amino acid (. It has a taste closely matching sugar - but no blood sugar spike is possible. It is water soluble & extracted from a non-palm source.
Some easy uses are as a sweetener in coffee/tea/smoothies, on cereals or in baking.
An alternative glycerine source is collagen peptides which has/have a neutral taste but, is/are still 30% glycerine by composition - excellent for cooking, salads,etc...
The LD50 for glycerine is undocumented for humans as it is considered safe in high doses e.g. 1g/kg (~ 15 teaspoons for a 75kg human). Two teaspoons/day (10g) is our recommendation. Always consult your health professional regarding previous health conditions or recent changes in life-style conditions.
Here is the COA ( Certificate of Analysis ) with our supplier address removed.

Advisory: It has been shown that glycine can be used by tumor cells as a fuel source during periods of fasting. The liver can also convert glycine to serine & hence to glucose. However, the rate of fermentation is much lower than or other amino acids where glutamine (via glutaminolysis) has the highest rate & hence significance as a tumor cell fuel. Please CHECK the above thoroughly &, consider this when undertaking any fasting regime.
